Hi i am Aletta Manemane from Isiolo, Kenya, at the photo you can see me with my son and grandmother.

How is climate change affecting your life?

Farmers are facing water challenge: this seedling are drying up due to the lack of water.

This is the conflict between wild and domestic animals. Due to drought, wild animals kill the weaker animals for their survival, that is, the elimination for the weakest and the survival for the fittest. They store the carcass on a tree for the next day.

This is one of the schools where young people are training students to plant trees to reduce scarcity, listing one seedling per student as their duty.

Please share pictures of places in your city/village that changed in the last 10 years due to climate change?

This is 2020 December were there was a lot of rain and enough food for everybody.

Life has changed, there is no food, no water in the river to cultivate, people are left without food, and animals are dying.

This is were drought affect farmers.

How do you cope with changes in the environment?

Due to climate change, young pople are not left behind, we use to make this neck ring as an activity to generate income

We decided to use workshops as opportunity to market our products..

This last photo is a peace security meeting where young people are used as peace ambassadors and which we take advantage of to market our product.

What is migration for you?

Migration affects people as young people in Kenya. Due to lack of jobs we decided to look for a place to start a small business for family livelihood and it cost us a lot, this is because where we migrated starting life is more difficult than where we were before.
